Gas Station “Pit Stop”

Who knew the Lord uses our bodily functions to find people!

Who knew the Lord uses our bodily functions to find people!

One Friday, me and my companion just left an appointment needing to go to the bathroom. For some reason we didn’t think about it until we were heading back home.

We took a slightly new route home and we said to ourselves: “Let’s go to the bathroom at that gas station near the post office.”

On the way home through this new route, we saw another gas station. (Honestly, we’ve passed it a couple times before but didn’t pay attention to it).

We locked our bikes quickly (it was freezing that night) and headed inside. We did our business and got back to our bikes.

A van pulls up and the driver says “Hey Elders!”

“You usually know what it means when you see to bikes with two nicely dressed men.” He says.

In our conversation, we find out he was a member and had just moved into the area. He works for the military and hasn’t seen his family in years because he keeps moving due to his job.

He was so glad to see us because we were able to help him know where Sacrament meeting was and what time.

To think that all this was all because we needed to make a pit stop.
